On May 20, 2002, a gifted and promising talent was born into the world. Yasirun Yasin Shaba, better known as “Yammi,” hails from Tanga but grew up in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania. As the eldest of three siblings, Yammi’s dream of becoming a musician took root in primary school. Her passion flourished in high school, where she competed in advanced talent search competitions, inspired deeply by Indian music.

In 2022, a performance video of hers went viral, catching the attention of her role model, “Nandy,” marking a pivotal moment in her budding career. By January 2023, Yammi had released her debut EP titled “Three Hearts”.
