On Saturday (July 13), Trump was grazed in the ear by a bullet after a 20-year-old man named Thomas Matthew Crooks fired a rifle at him from an elevated position during a campaign rally in Butler. Fortunately, Trump survived the incident with minor injuries.

In typical internet fashion, the event quickly became a source of dark humor. An artificial intelligence-generated remix of 50 Cent’s โ€œMany Menโ€ emerged, featuring Trump’s voice replacing 50’s on the iconic Get Rich or Die Tryinโ€™ track, which originally details the rapperโ€™s near-death experiences, including being shot nine times in 2000.

The remix features a computer-generated Trump rapping the intense lyrics: โ€œMany men wish death upon me/ Blood in my eye, dawg, and I canโ€™t see/ Iโ€™m tryinโ€™ to be what Iโ€™m destined to be/ And n-ggas tryinโ€™ to take my life away.โ€

50 Cent responded to the incident by sharing a photo of Trump defiantly raising his fist after being hit, with โ€œMany Men (Wish Death)โ€ playing in the background. He captioned the Instagram post: โ€œI know the vibes [palm on face emoji] we are all in trouble now!โ€

Additionally, the G-Unit leader posted an image of Trumpโ€™s head superimposed onto the cover art of Get Rich or Die Tryinโ€™ and commented: โ€œTrump gets shot and now Iโ€™m trending [shrugging emoji].โ€ That night, 50 Cent performed the song in Boston, using the edited cover as his backdrop.

In recent news, Kendrick Lamarโ€™s diss track was used by Joe Biden’s campaign to attack Trump in the presidential race.

50 Cent recently shared his perspective on why some Black men might identify with Trump over Biden, despite allegations of racism against the former president. During a visit to Congress, he told CBS News: โ€œI see [Black men] identifying with Trumpโ€ฆ because they have RICO charges.โ€

In the 2020 election, 50 Cent initially endorsed Trump after criticizing Bidenโ€™s tax plans, expressing his frustration on social media: โ€œWHAT THE FUCK! (VOTE For TRUMP) IM OUT. FUCK NEW YORK The KNICKS never win anyway. I donโ€™t care Trump doesnโ€™t like black people 62% are you out of ya fucking mind.โ€ However, after facing backlash, he later switched his endorsement to Biden.
