The Al Nassr striker officially launched his YouTube channel on August 21, 2024, and quickly saw a meteoric rise in subscribers. With tens of millions of fans flocking to his account, Ronaldo managed to break the record previously held by MrBeast for the most subscribers gained in a single 24-hour period, surpassing 20 million.

During an interview on September 2, 2024, Ronaldo openly discussed his ambitions for his YouTube channel, stating, “MrBeast is the one I have to beat.”

Challenging MrBeast, whose real name is Jimmy Donaldson, won’t be an easy task. The YouTube superstar became the first to surpass 300 million subscribers back in July and has added another 13 million subscribers in the weeks since.

Live subscriber counters like Livecounts are closely tracking the competition, streaming the real-time battle between Ronaldo and MrBeast to thousands of viewers. Currently, Ronaldo boasts just under 56 million subscribers, placing him around 268 million behind MrBeast’s main channel.

Although Ronaldo still has a considerable distance to cover to catch up with MrBeast, his rapid growth has already led to some notable milestones. In an unexpected turn of events, Ronaldo swiftly surpassed YouTube star IShowSpeed, one of his biggest fans.

IShowSpeed was streaming live when he learned that Ronaldo had surpassed his subscriber count and reacted with a mix of shock and admiration, exclaiming, “Oh my god, he did it in one day! Nobody can stop him! Nobody, he’s the GOAT!”
