Megan Thee Stallion has officially announced her new album titled “MEGAN,” set to release on June 28, 2024. The Houston rapper surprised her fans on social media, writing: “SURPRISE HOTTIESSSS!!!! My New Album ‘MEGAN’ will be coming out JUNE 28 PRE-SAVE NOW!”

She also revealed the album cover, featuring a naked Megan inside a cocoon with a giant “M” embossed over the artwork. The announcement was first shared with fans at her Hot Girl Summer Tour stop in Atlanta, where a QR code allowed the crowd to pre-save the album.
“Megan” will be her first album since Tory Lanez was convicted of shooting her in the feet in July 2020. This album marks her first release through her own Hot Girl imprint in partnership with Warner Music Group, giving her full ownership of her master recordings and complete creative control.
Megan departed from 1501 Certified Entertainment last fall after resolving a legal battle over money and contract terms. Celebrating her independence, she stated: “I have no label right now. We’re doing everything funded straight out of Megan Thee Stallion’s pocket. The next stuff y’all about to see is all straight from Megan Thee Stallion’s brain and wallet.”
The album follows a snake theme, with singles like “Cobra,” “Hiss,” and “BOA.” Megan explained in a recent interview with L’Officiel: “We started with the snake because I love snakes, but I feel like they are misunderstood. Snakes represent rebirth and spirituality. Renewal and rebirth — that’s the whole concept of the album.”
