Martin Lawrence is assuring fans that he’s in great health despite recent concerns. The 59-year-old actor addressed these worries on June 4 during an appearance on Hot 97’s Ebro in the Morning. Concerns arose after a viral video from the Los Angeles premiere of “Bad Boys: Ride or Die” showed Lawrence looking less energetic than his co-star, Will Smith, who helped guide him at one point.

Host Ebro Darden brought up the speculation, noting that people thought Lawrence looked unsteady and disengaged. Lawrence explained that he was simply overwhelmed by the large crowd, joking, “I was like, oh, this is rock concert stuff. What the hell is going on? [This is] for a movie?”
When asked if he had a message for those worried about his health, Lawrence responded, “I’m fine. I’m in God’s hands. I’m blessed. I’m glad to be waking up every day. I’m all good. No need for people to be concerned. I’m healthy as hell. Stop the rumors!” He also expressed his excitement for the film and his upcoming comedy tour.
“Bad Boys: Ride or Die,” featuring Lawrence and Will Smith as Miami detectives, hits theaters on June 7, 2024. The movie also stars Vanessa Hudgens, Eric Dane, and Tiffany Haddish, among others.
