Diddy's Sean John Eyewear Dropped by America's Best Contacts & Eyeglasses

America’s Best Contacts & Eyeglasses has stopped selling frames from Diddy’s Sean John eyewear brand. This decision comes amid backlash following the release of a video showing Diddy assaulting his then-girlfriend Cassie Ventura.

According to TMZ, the retailer began removing Sean John frames from its online store in April and continued the removal in physical locations last week. This move follows Peloton’s recent announcement that it would no longer play Diddy’s music on its platform.

The controversy intensified after CNN released security footage of Diddy assaulting Cassie in a hotel hallway. In a video shared on Instagram on May 19, Diddy apologized, saying, “It’s difficult to reflect on the darkest times in your life, sometimes you gotta do that. I was f–ked up. I mean, I hit rock bottom but I make no excuses. My behavior in that video is inexcusable. I take full responsibility for my actions. I’m disgusted.”

Diddy added, “I went and sought out professional help. I’ve been going to therapy, going to rehab. Had to ask God for his mercy and grace. I’m so sorry, but I’m committed to being a better man each and every day. I’m not asking for forgiveness. I’m truly sorry.”

Cassie’s legal team criticized Diddy’s apology. Meredith Firetog, a partner at Wigdor LLP, stated, “When Cassie and multiple other women came forward, he denied everything and suggested that his victims were looking for a payday. That he was only compelled to ‘apologize’ once his repeated denials were proven false shows his pathetic desperation, and no one will be swayed by his disingenuous words.”
