In a category filled with renowned hosts, Palmer triumphed over Ken Jennings and Mayim Bialik from “Jeopardy!”, Steve Harvey from “Family Feud”, and Pat Sajak from “Wheel of Fortune”. This win makes her the first woman to clinch the award since Meredith Vieira’s 2009 win for “Who Wants To Be A Millionaire?”
Last year’s recipient of this prestigious award was Steve Harvey, following a three-year winning streak by the late Alex Trebek.
Upon receiving the award, an elated Palmer expressed her gratitude: “Wow. That is so exciting, thank you so much. I’m really just so thankful, I’m almost speechless. I want to thank the people who allowed this to happen, thank you to Jimmy Fallon, thank to NBC,” she said.
Palmer also took to Instagram to share her excitement and gratitude, celebrating this groundbreaking achievement with her followers.
