American professional boxer and former kickboxer Jarrell Miller has been arrested in Hollywood, Florida, on charges of carjacking and burglary with assault. The incident reportedly involved Miller attacking a car dealership employee and fleeing in a Dodge Ram pickup truck that had been recently repossessed.

Miller, who was unaware that the truck had a tracking device, was located and arrested by the police later that day. The 35-year-old heavyweight boxer allegedly put the employee in a chokehold and slammed him to the ground before taking his keys and escaping.
Currently, Miller is being held on a $30,000 bond at the Broward Sheriff’s Office in Fort Lauderdale, following a court hearing on Wednesday afternoon. This arrest comes shortly after his recent fight with Daniel Dubois in Saudi Arabia on the Day of Reckoning card, where he suffered a 12th-round TKO but earned the highest payday of his career.
This incident is another setback for Miller, who was previously banned for two years in December 2020 after failing four drug tests within a year. He was scheduled to fight Anthony Joshua for the heavyweight titles in 2020 but was replaced by Andy Ruiz after failing drug tests. Ruiz went on to win the titles in a surprising victory over Joshua. Miller’s career, once again facing controversy, leaves his future in the sport uncertain.
