The arrest occurred on Thursday, December 14, at Tekashi’s Florida residence. According to a police report obtained by TMZ, the authorities were summoned to the rapper’s home after the altercation intensified. Tekashi reported that the argument with Yailin had been brewing throughout the day and culminated in her assaulting him and vandalizing his vehicle.
Tekashi claimed to the police that during the altercation, Yailin grabbed a 2×4 and started hitting him. He also accused her of kicking his Bentley’s sideview mirror and breaking the windshield with a ground stake. He further showed the officers cellphone footage of the incident.
The video, which Tekashi later shared on social media, vividly captures Yailin hitting him with the 2×4 multiple times. She was subsequently handcuffed and taken away by the police.
Yailin reportedly told the police that the confrontation stemmed from Tekashi withholding her money and passport, which led to her frustration and subsequent actions. She alleged that she attempted to leave the residence, but Tekashi prevented her, prompting her to damage his car as a form of financial retribution.
Based on the video evidence and testimonies, the police arrested Yailin on charges of aggravated battery, witness tampering, and felony criminal mischief. She was then transported to the central jail.
This incident marks a new escalation in Tekashi and Yailin’s tumultuous relationship, which has previously been captured on camera but never before resulted in such violent outcomes or legal consequences.
