Jabbari, during her testimony, expressed that she was “scared” of Majors and believed that he might harm himself if she left him. She revealed that Majors would send her ominous text messages, particularly after they had arguments.
In addition to emotional manipulation, Jabbari stated that she endured two years of verbal abuse before an alleged assault by Majors in the back seat of a hired car in March.
The incident that led to charges against Majors occurred when Jabbari noticed a text message on his phone from another woman named Cleopatra. This discovery led to an argument, during which Majors allegedly assaulted her.
Prosecutors have claimed that Majors slapped Jabbari and fractured one of her fingers. When Jabbari exited the vehicle, they stated that Majors forcefully pushed her back inside.
Majors, who denies striking Jabbari, claims he was the victim of a jilted lover. His attorney suggested that Jabbari aimed to derail his career as an act of revenge. The defense has also raised concerns about racial bias, noting that Majors is Black and Jabbari is white.
