Tanzanian socialite Hamisa Mobetto has recently revealed details about the custody battle for her son, Dylan, involving the child’s father, Diamond Platnumz. According to Mobetto, this legal tussle was initiated by Diamond himself. She shared this information in a video published by a Tanzanian blogger, shedding light on the challenges they face in co-parenting.

Mobetto expressed her discomfort with the public attention her son is receiving and the emotional toll it has taken on her. She emphasized her desire to keep her child out of the public eye, stating in Swahili, “Hakuna mtu anayetaka mtoto wake kuongelewa kila mahali, si jambo zuri.” (No one wants their child to be talked about everywhere, it’s not a good thing). She noted that initial attempts to reach an agreement through their lawyers were unsuccessful.
This issue came into the spotlight during Diamond Platnumz’s recent visit to Kenya. He was questioned about his decision to leave Dylan with Mobetto while traveling to Rwanda with his other children, including two with Zari Hassan and one with Tanasha Donna.
Responding to these queries, Diamond explained that he chose not to bring his children everywhere, emphasizing the importance of their education and the risk of spoiling them. This response highlights the complex dynamics of celebrity parenting and the challenges faced in such high-profile custody disputes.
