In a striking declaration that’s turning heads, 23-year-old Gen Z influencer Jenny Darling from Bishopsgate, London, has laid out her non-negotiable terms for considering motherhood: a hefty £250,000 ($315,000) annual allowance. Darling, known for her candid content creation, insists this sum is necessary for therapy, a personal trainer, and all baby-related needs.

“Creating a human life takes a lot of sacrifice,” Jenny explained. She firmly believes her body and mental well-being are not to be compromised, stating, “I’d never put my body through that for free. I’m not built to suffer.” This stance comes despite her long-standing disinterest in having children, to the extent of considering surgical intervention.
Darling’s conditions for potential motherhood go beyond financial demands. She would require marriage before pregnancy, a prenuptial agreement with an infidelity clause, and a luxurious ‘babymoon’ abroad. Post-birth, she expects a £250,000 yearly allowance to maintain her and the baby’s lifestyle, emphasizing that motherhood is priceless and that her demands are an investment in their future life.
In addition to financial support, Jenny’s vision of motherhood includes extensive assistance. She would want a doula and a housekeeper for the first six months postpartum, transitioning to a weekly cleaner thereafter. “Clean space is a clean mind,” she asserts, valuing her peace and organization highly.
Moreover, Darling insists on receiving a luxury push present, such as a car or apartment, along with a ‘mummy makeover’ involving a tummy tuck and boob job, depending on the birth’s impact on her body. “It would depend on how the birth goes, but I’d need a tummy tuck and a boob job and a lot of therapy,” she shared.
Darling, who identifies as black, has always leaned towards a childfree life, even discussing the removal of her uterus with doctors. Her rationale is grounded in her views on the high costs and responsibilities of raising a child. “Kids are expensive. I wouldn’t want to bring a child into this world to suffer,” she remarks.
