Diddy Loses 18 Brand Partnerships Amid Sexual Abuse Allegations

Hip Hop mogul Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs is facing a significant setback as 18 brands and labels have distanced themselves following sexual abuse allegations. The renowned rapper and businessman has been hit by lawsuits, including one from his ex-girlfriend, Cassie Ventura, and three other women.

In response to these allegations, Diddy stepped down as the chairman of Revolt and witnessed several companies severing ties with his e-commerce platform, Empower Global. Annette Njau, founder of House of Takura, commented to Rolling Stone magazine about their decision to part ways with Diddy’s platform immediately after Ventura’s lawsuit was filed, citing the severity of the allegations and the importance of supporting victims’ rights.

Luxury skincare brand Tsuri and other companies such as Nuudii System and No One Clothiers have also ended their associations with Empower Global. Ashli Goudelock of Tsuri emphasized their firm stance against the mistreatment of women, and Lenard Grier of No One Clothiers echoed a similar sentiment, highlighting the conflict between the allegations and their brand’s foundational beliefs in respect and equality.

However, one company founder has chosen to remain with Empower Global, citing their belief in the vision of former CEO Khadijah Robinson and the investments made in anticipation of the platform’s launch.

Diddy has denied all allegations, although he reached a private settlement with Cassie Ventura shortly after her lawsuit was filed. He maintains that this settlement does not imply an admission of guilt. This ongoing situation marks a challenging period for the Hip Hop icon, as the industry reacts to the unfolding allegations.
