Diamond Platnumz Expresses Concern Over Investment in New Artist Dvoice

Tanzanian music icon Diamond Platnumz recently expressed concerns about the return on investment for his latest signee, Dvoice Ginni, to his record label Wasafi. This concern was humorously highlighted in an Instagram video showing a seemingly exhausted Dvoice lying on the floor, with Diamond Platnumz walking in and finding him in that state.

In the video, Diamond is seen jokingly questioning whether the investment in Dvoice will yield any profits, especially after seeing his artist lying on the floor in a state of fatigue. This moment has been interpreted by many as a playful nudge from Diamond to his new artist, emphasizing the need for hard work and dedication in the studio to bring success to the label.

Diamond remarked, “Now, this artist, my brother, just imagine, and you guys help me out here. He’s already like this, tired out, after just releasing an EP and two videos. Tell me, as a manager or investor, am I really getting my money back here?”

Dvoice was introduced as the seventh artist to join the Wasafi label since its inception in February 2016. The label, led by Diamond Platnumz, has made significant investments in promoting Dvoice, who has been with the label for just over a month. During this time, he has released an album and two music videos.

This playful interaction between Diamond and Dvoice not only sheds light on the pressures of the music industry but also on the expectations of artists under major labels to deliver returns on investments made in their careers.
