Kenyan musicians Bahati Kioko and Diana Marua recently made headlines when they announced the postponement of their much-anticipated wedding. Originally set for December 12th, the couple took to their Instagram pages to share the news, following their attendance at a friend’s wedding.

In their joint message, they explained that the delay was due to “unavoidable circumstances” but reassured fans that a new date would be announced soon. Bahati’s Instagram post read, “Today was supposed to be our wedding day but… Congratulations to our friends @Directorritchie and @RenaSolomon. We are happy to be part of your celebration and are taking notes for our own big day! New Wedding Dates Coming Soon…”
However, the couple’s playful antics at their friend’s wedding led to some confusion among their fans. Photos and videos from the event depicted Bahati and Diana at the forefront of the procession, with Diana in a white shawl holding flowers and Bahati in a suit.
Their appearance gave the impression that they were the bride and groom, causing a mix-up among those who saw the images and clips. Despite the playful misdirection, fans are eagerly awaiting the new date for Bahati and Diana’s actual wedding day.
