Tiffany Haddish Addresses DUI Arrest in Recent Stand-Up Set

American comedian and actress Tiffany Haddish recently addressed her DUI arrest during a stand-up performance at the Laugh Factory in Long Beach.

Haddish, known for her role in “Girl Trip” and other notable works, was arrested on the morning of November 24. As reported by TMZ, the arrest occurred after police found her asleep at the wheel of her car, which was stopped in the middle of Beverly Drive.

Responding to an audience member’s query about the incident, Haddish played it off with her signature humor. “What happened last night?” she retorted, followed by a dramatic pause that drew laughter and applause from the crowd. “I don’t know, you tell me,” she added.

The comedian then humorously linked her predicament to her prayers for a man with a career, joking, “I prayed to God to send me a man with a job. A career. Preferably in a uniform. God answered my prayers.”

This incident marks the second DUI arrest for Haddish. She was previously found sleeping in her car in Georgia in January 2022, under similar circumstances. At the time, she was in Georgia filming “Haunted Mansion” with Owen Wilson and Rosario Dawson for Walt Disney Productions.

TMZ reports indicate that police suspected marijuana use, leading to her arrest for DUI and unsafe stopping on a roadway. The arrest occurred after a concerned citizen reported a woman asleep in her vehicle.

Haddish’s recent public remarks reflect her ability to use humor to navigate through personal challenges, a trait that has endeared her to fans worldwide.
