TMZ recently procured the dispatch audio that was made in relation to Perry’s untimely death, revealing that “drowning” was mentioned after the actor was found lifeless in his jacuzzi at his Los Angeles residence this past Saturday. The beloved actor was just 54 years old.
The brief audio clip provides a chilling insight, with a voice stating, “Agent 23. Rescue 23. EMS 9 on the radio. In response to the drowning,” which was followed by the immediate dispatch of first responders to Perry’s residence.
Earlier, TMZ had reported a distress call from Perry’s address that had signaled the need for urgent medical attention for someone who had gone into cardiac arrest. The subsequent investigations at the actor’s home did not find evidence of any drugs or indications of foul play, as confirmed by the media outlet.
Although the Los Angeles Police Department confirmed that they did attend a call about the death of a male in his 50s at Perry’s address, they refrained from confirming the identity of the deceased.

Despite the heavy cloud of sorrow and mystery, Perry’s representatives haven’t made any official comments in response to the media’s outreach.
In a moving visual, Perry’s immediate family – mother Suzanne Morrison, father John Bennett Perry, and stepfather, Keith Morrison from Dateline, were seen arriving at his residence just hours post the revelation of his death, as per footage provided by TMZ.
Merely six days before this tragedy struck, Perry had taken to Instagram to share an image of himself enjoying a warm jacuzzi. His accompanying caption was playfully written as, “Oh, so warm water swirling around makes you feel good? I’m Mattman.”
For many, Perry will forever remain etched in their hearts as the witty Chandler Bing from the iconic sitcom ‘Friends’, where he shared the screen with Jennifer Aniston, Courteney Cox, Lisa Kudrow, Matt LeBlanc, and David Schwimmer, from 1994 to 2004.
Warner Bros., recognizing Perry’s immense contribution to the entertainment industry, released an official statement expressing their grief, “We are devastated by the passing of our dear friend Matthew Perry… his legacy will live on in the hearts of so many. This is a heartbreaking day, and we send our love to his family, his loved ones, and all of his devoted fans.”
