During a press conference in Kampala, Tanzanian singer Diamond Platnumz shared his approach to parenting and ensuring that his children are not burdened by the separation between him and their mother.

Diamond, who has two children with Ugandan socialite Zari Hassan, explained that he maintains a close “professional” relationship with Zari while also respecting her space as a married woman.
When asked about the nature of his relationship with his Ugandan family, Diamond emphasized that they have a strong bond, and their children still perceive them as being together.
“We are just co-parenting and we respect each other… We try not to entertain any negativity when it comes to our kids,” Diamond expressed. “We want our children to feel comfortable and not be stressed. I don’t even want my kids to know if I am dating; they think I am still dating their mother.”
Although Diamond and Zari have separated, they have mutually agreed to prioritize their children’s well-being and safety.
“I don’t want to stress them because I know what I went through when I was a little kid, seeing my mother and father not together. It was stressful,” Diamond shared, reflecting on his own childhood experiences.
Currently, Diamond Platnumz is in Kampala, alongside Kenyan pop star Nameless, for the Comedy Store charity fundraising concert. The event will take place on Friday, July 14, at the Kololo Independence grounds.
