Misato isn’t a character who lets out her inner self often. As a result, it’s beyond shocking to see her let everything out down to the deepest and darkest corners of her mind without any hesitation; that’s how important Kaji was to her and that’s how much we learn that she relies on him. In an even briefer moment of inaction, we see Kaji casually drop a birth control pill on the dresser as Misato tries to convince him of her terrible personality, but it’s convincing to no one.

It’s a farce that is immediately recognizable, but it’s a moment that it becomes possible to recognize the complexity that is Neon Genesis Evangelion as we realize the depth of her character, and the amazing writing of the whole series when we later learn that the pill was really a long-awaited opening for Kaji to relay to her the even darker secrets that NERV hid from the world.

3. Scum’s Wish (2017)

Despite the fact that Hanabi and Mubi appear to be the happiest couple, their union is totally based on concessions because the people they actually love do not care about them. They have developed a symbiotic sexual relationship as a coping mechanism for rejection, which lessens the pain of seeing the person they love with someone else.

5. Domestic Girlfriend (2019)

Domestic Girlfriend tells the story of an odd love story between two young adults who are struggling with heartbreak brought on by unrequited love and a lack of sex appeal. The direction of the sequence is incredibly realistic, right down to the attention to detail in the messy state of the room and everyone inside of it and the eerie sound of flesh hitting flesh. When it eventually becomes impossible to distinguish between good and wrong, the movie still won’t allow us to be the judge and doesn’t achieve the justice that everyone involved deserves.

7. Redo of Healer (2021)

It’s not unexpected that “Redo of Healer” features a lot of sequences that are 18 or older because it’s one of the few animes that use sex as a crucial component of the entire plot. The one that jumps out, though, occurs in episode 4 between Setsuna and Keyaru. When the former finds that the latter possesses the abilities of a Sword Saint, she agrees to do anything in exchange for power in order to preserve her community. Before having sex with the female Demi-human who was once a slave, Keyaru engages her in oral sex.
