According to reports, authorities have discovered 39 bodies on Makenzi’s premises, with additional shallow graves still awaiting excavation. The total death toll has reached 43, including four individuals who were discovered malnourished at Makenzi’s Good News International Church. Furthermore, two children were killed by their parents as an act of “pleasing God” under Makenzi’s influence.
The pastor has been in police custody while investigations proceed, and officials have requested that he remain in detention due to previous charges of child deaths that he was previously released on bail. There are fears of a growing cult influence in the area, and local politicians are calling for stricter measures to prevent their spread.
