Here is a guide to praying the chaplet:

  1. Begin by making the Sign of the Cross.
  2. Say the following prayer: “You expired, Jesus, but the source of life gushed forth for souls, and the ocean of mercy opened up for the whole world. O Fount of Life, unfathomable Divine Mercy, envelop the whole world and empty Yourself out upon us. O Blood and Water, which gushed forth from the Heart of Jesus as a fountain of Mercy for us, I trust in You.”
  3. On the first bead and all the ones that follow, say the “Our Father.”
  4. On the next three beads, say the “Hail Mary.”
  5. On the chain, say the following prayer: “For the sake of His sorrowful Passion, have mercy on us and on the whole world.”
  6. Say the “Our Father.”
  7. On the next ten beads, say the “Hail Mary.”
  8. Say the following prayer: “O Blood and Water, which gushed forth from the Heart of Jesus as a fountain of Mercy for us, I trust in You.”
  9. Repeat steps 6 through 8 two more times.
  10. Conclude the chaplet by saying the following prayer: “Eternal Father, I offer You the Body and Blood, Soul and Divinity of Your dearly beloved Son, Our Lord Jesus Christ, in atonement for our sins and those of the whole world. For the sake of His sorrowful Passion, have mercy on us and on the whole world.”
