How to play EuroMillions
To play EuroMillions, players must select five numbers between 1 and 50 and two “lucky star” numbers between 1 and 12. These numbers can be chosen manually or randomly using a “quick pick” option.
Players can purchase a ticket from authorized retailers in participating countries or online. Once the numbers have been selected and the ticket has been purchased, players must wait for the next scheduled draw to take place on Tuesdays and Fridays.
To win the jackpot, players must match all five numbers and both lucky star numbers. There are also other prize tiers for matching a smaller combination of numbers. If there are multiple winners for a prize tier, the prize money is divided among them. If no one wins the jackpot, the prize money rolls over to the next draw.

EuroMillions Super Draws and Event Draws
Super Draws and Event Draws are special editions of the EuroMillions game in which the jackpot is guaranteed to be set at a certain amount, usually €100,000,000. The main difference between the two is that if the jackpot is not won in a Super Draw, it will roll over to the next drawing, while in an Event Draw, the prize money will be distributed among the winners in the next lower tier (i.e. matching 5 main numbers and 1 lucky star). Until now, jackpots in a Super Draw have rolled over to the next drawing if not won.
The first Super Draw of 2011 was held on May 10 to mark the introduction of the second weekly EuroMillions draw and changes to the game format, including 11 lucky stars instead of 9 and a new prize tier for matching 2 main numbers and no lucky stars.
The first Super Draw of 2016 was held on September 30, 2016, to introduce changes to the game format, including 12 lucky stars instead of 11 and an increase in the ticket price.
