Cannabis City: Opening & Closing time. Cannabis City became a Seattle historic business when it opened to worldwide media attention on July 07, 2014, as the first legal recreational cannabis shop in Seattle.
Founded by Dr. James Lathrop, a Nurse Practitioner and Doctor of Nursing Practice, and military veteran of foreign war (Desert Storm, Saudi Arabia; US Army Nurse). Prior to founding Cannabis City, “Dr. James” was the owner and medical director for the Ahh! Clinic (Advanced Holistic Health) which specialized in medicinal cannabis authorizations for patients.
In 2019 Cannabis City moved into the 10,000 s.f. Cannabis City Cultural Center alongside the all-ages Prohibition BAR and the Smoking G.O.A.T. Arts and Event Center — just steps away from the SODO Light Rail.
