Black Panther: Wakanda Forever OTT release date has been confirmed. As predicted, Disney Plus will have the rights to OTT streaming of Black Panther 2. The film will be available on the streaming platform in different languages and in different resolutions.

According to the reports from Hollywood Handle, The Black Panther: Wakanda Forever will come on Disney Plus on 20th January onwards. Disney+ Support Team has also confirmed that Black Panther 2.

Every MCU film is expected to come 45 days after release in theaters on November 11, 2022. The film earned around $820.1 million at the Box office after coming to theatres with a budget of $250 million.

Black Panther: Wakanda Forever Cast

Wakanda Forever director Ryan Coogler paid a heart-warming tribute to Chadwick Boseman and his legacy by not replacing him with any other actor. The actor passed away in 2020 due to colon cancer. The director chose Letitia Wright to take over the role of Black Panther instead of replacing Boseman.

Coogler explained: “I was looking at that and I remembered the conversations Chadwick and I would have about Letitia all the way back when we were doing chemistry reads with actresses”.

But the primary cast reprised their roles. The film also introduced Namor the Submariner, one of Marvel Comics’ first superheroes.

What to Expect From Black Panther: Wakanda Forever?

The official plot synopsis of Wakanda Forever suggests: “Queen Ramonda (Angela Bassett), Shuri (Letitia Wright), M’Baku (Winston Duke), Okoye (Danai Gurira) and the Dora Milaje (including Florence Kasumba), fight to protect their nation from intervening world powers in the wake of King T’Challa’s death.

As the Wakandans strive to embrace their next chapter, the heroes must band together with the help of War Dog Nakia (Lupita Nyong’o) and Everett Ross (Martin Freeman) and forge a new path for the kingdom of Wakanda.”

The film heavily features Namor as the primary antagonist of the story. But the antihero is prested as a god-king of the underwater kingdom of Talokan. His personality was very much similar to his comic book personality. He was given the name, K’uk’ulkan and is called the first Mutant in the MCU.

But Namor felt insecure after the government came to know his kingdom’s existence and tried to form an alliance with Wakanda to wage war against the surface world.

Black Panther: Wakanda Forever has received 7.2 ratings out of 10 on IMDB. Rotten Tomatoes has rated the film 84% fresh. But Metacritic has given it 67% which is quite low. The film does have a lot of heartwarming moments and a lot of tension. There will be a few sad scenes and deaths as well. But for those fans who did not get to see the film in the theatres, this will be their golden opportunity.
