Actress Katie Holmes and musician Bobby Wooten III have broken up after being together for nearly a year, according to a report by Us Weekly on Friday.

Holmes, 43, and Wooten, 33, were together for eight months, first linked romantically in April when photographed kissing in New York City. The source claims they simply “didn’t work out together for the long run” and that Holmes is “no longer [talking] about him to his friends.”
One month after their April date in Central Park, Holmes and Wooten attended the Moth Ball’s 25th Anniversary Gala. In June, Holmes was Wooten’s date for a Hamptons wedding of his close friend, where they reportedly publicly displayed their affection.

According to Us Weekly, Holmes and Wooten were “very affectionate with each other at all times” and “looked very in love.”
It’s still unclear why they split up, but it’s another love lost for the actress, who previously dated chef Emilio Vitolo Jr. for eight months before breaking up in May 2021.
Holmes, who shares 16-year-old daughter Suri with actor Tom Cruise, to whom she was married from 2006 to 2012, also secretly dated Jamie Foxx for six years.

She reportedly ended things with Vitolo because they were “moving too fast,” explaining that her daughter “always comes first.” Perhaps she used the same excuse to break up with Wooten.
