The seventh installment in the Transformers movie franchise is taking the story in a new direction after Bumblebee. Everything Revealed In The Transformers: Rise of the Beasts Trailer
The Transformers: Rise of the Beasts trailer is a great showcase of what audiences can expect to see from the movie. The footage only briefly shows the two new human leads played by Anthony Ramos and Dominique Fishback, as the focus is instead squarely put on the introduction of the Beast Wars characters. It appears that Transformers 7’s story kicks off with Optimus Primal coming to Earth and warning Optimus Prime about a new threat.
Optimus Primal is not the only Beast Wars character featured in the Transformers: Rise of the Beasts trailer. The gorilla-themed Maximal does get the most screen time, allowing viewers to hear Ron Perlman’s voice. There are also glimpses of Cheetor (a cheetah-themed Maximal), Rhinox (a rhino-themed Maximal), and Airazor (a falcon-themed Maximal). Cheetor is shown running next to Bumblebee and leaping into battle at the end, while Rhinox is only seen in the Transformers war. There is also a quick glimpse of Airazor in the Transformers 7 trailer as she flies near a bridge.
It would not be a Transformers movie without Bumblebee and G1 design Optimus Prime, though, and both Autobots are featured throughout the trailer. There are also repeated glimpses of Mirage and Arcee, who appear to work closely with the human leads in the movie. The Transformers: Rise of the Beasts trailer does largely hide the villain, Scourge – leader of the Terrorcons, but some shots of him are featured at the very end. All in all, the footage should do its job of getting audiences, especially long-time Transformers fans, excited to see the Beast Wars characters on the big screen.
