Lots of his followers were trying to warn him, saying he had forgotten to switch to a private account because his likes were visible to all.

However, it may well be that his account is run by a third party, ie a member of his team, or he may well have been hacked.

After Samuel’s name was trending, the likes were subsequently removed but not before eagle-eyed followers screengrabbed them.

His fans wrote: ‘I’m so glad someone posted this. He went and unliked everything so I missed it. Lol.’

‘I think everyone loves him even more after this lol’

‘He a grown man who cares lol.’

‘He forgot to switch to his private account.’

‘I’m dying hahahahahahahaahahahahahahahahahahahaha.’

MailOnline has contacted a spokesperson for Samuel for comment.

Samuel, 74, has been married to American actress LaTanya Richardson Jackson, 73, since 1980 and they have a daughter called Zoe.

He and LaTanya met in college and have been married for 42 years.

Last year, Samuel told Vanity Fair: ‘We made a decision to say, “We are going to stay together no matter what. We’ll figure it out.”

‘It’s two people who respect each other, love each other, and look out for each other.’

The publication adds that when he became addicted to drugs in the early ’90s, it was his wife who helped him get into rehab.

He has now been in recovery for over 30 years.

Samuel said: ‘She gave me the chance to be the man I was supposed to be.’
