Marvel Entertainment has teased an upcoming documentary on the comic book legend Stan Lee which is coming in 2023. Stan Lee became the co-creator of some of the most legendary superheroes like Spider-Man, Fantastic Four, the X-Men, Iron Man, Thor, Hulk, Ant-Man, Black Panther, Doctor Strange, and more with Jack Kirby and Seve Ditko.

He created these superheroes with a more naturalistic approach which the readers were able to connect with back then.
Marvel announces Stan Lee Documentary on His 100th Birthday Anniversary
On their official Twitter, Marvel Entertainment teased the documentary with the title: Stan Lee: An Original Documentary on the occasion of Stan Lee’s 100th birthday on 28th December of this year. They posted on their official Twitter: “An Original documentary celebrating the life and legacy of Stan Lee starts streaming in 2023 on DisneyPlus”.
Lee passed away in 2018 at the age of 95. He made his last cameo posthumously in 2019’s Avengers: Endgame.
But the fans always cheer for him whenever he appears on the screen. Even celebrities like James Gunn and Kevin Smith have paid tribute to the legendary comic book writer. Stan Lee’s cameos were not limited to films as he appeared on the pages of comic books as well.
Marvel and DC Comics Celebrated Stan Lee’s 100th Birth Anniversary
On Stan Lee’s 100th birth anniversary, Marvel announced the documentary on their official website. They wrote: “Today, on what would have been Stan Lee’s 100th birthday, we celebrate his legacy as the co-creator of such legendary characters as Spider-Man, Fantastic Four, Iron Man, Black Panther, The Incredible Hulk, X-Men, Thor, Silver Surfer, Ant-Man, Nick Fury, The Avengers and hundreds more. We’ve seen Stan in the pages of Marvel Comics as well as on-screen with Marvel Studios’ many cameos.”

DC celebrated the 100th Birth anniversary of Lee in their own manner. They announced Tales From Earth-6: A Celebration Of Stan Lee which will feature Lee’s version of DC superheroes like Batman, Superman, and Wonder Woman.
How Did Stan Lee Bring Revolution to Comics After World War II?
During World War II, comic books were at their peak which is called the golden age. At that time, the market was dominated by the characters like Superman and Captain America. Those characters presented Patriotic enthusiasm for their country which readers were able to connect with. So, the sales and popularity were high as well.
After the end of the war, people became more depressed and felt distant from the larger-than-life comic book characters. But the situation got worse when a Senate subcommittee held hearings regarding an investigation over the allegations against comics that promoted immorality and juvenile delinquency in 1954. That is the period when Stan Lee came and introduced his revolutionary comic books.
Among his all creations, the friendly neighborhood Spider-Man is his greatest creation. Peter Parker without his Spider-Man suit is very similar to a financially struggling teenage boy in New York.
He is good at studies but always struggles when it comes to higher studies because of a lack of finances. These daily life struggles make Peter Parker a more human superhero than any other in Marvel Comics.
