TSA Precheck is a security program run by the Transportation Security Administration (TSA) that allows eligible travelers to pass through airport security more quickly and easily.

Participants in TSA Precheck are able to use dedicated security lanes and do not need to remove their shoes, laptops, liquids, belts, or light jackets. To be eligible for TSA Precheck, travelers must be U.S. citizens or lawful permanent residents and must have a clean criminal and terrorism-related background.
Travelers can apply for TSA Precheck online, in person at an enrollment center, or through a participating airline. Once approved, travelers will receive a Known Traveler Number (KTN) that they can use when booking flights to participate in TSA Precheck.

How to get TSA Precheck

There are a few different ways to apply for TSA Precheck:

- Through a participating airline: Some airlines, including Delta and United, allow you to apply for TSA Precheck when you book a flight. You can check with your airline to see if this option is available.
Once you have completed the application process and provided all required documentation, your application will be reviewed and a determination will be made on your eligibility for TSA Precheck. If you are approved, you will receive a Known Traveler Number (KTN), which you can use when booking flights to participate in TSA Precheck.
How does TSA Precheck work?
When you arrive at the airport, you will need to look for the TSA Precheck lane and present your boarding pass and government-issued ID. If you are approved for TSA Precheck, your boarding pass will have a TSA Precheck indicator on it.
You can then proceed through the dedicated TSA Precheck lane, where you will be subject to a modified security screening process that allows you to keep your shoes, laptop, liquids, and other personal items in your carry-on luggage.
