Pep Guardiola is set to continue to be at the helm of Manchester City as the Premier League giants confirmed a 2-year contract extension for the Spanish tactician. Guardiola’s contract extension will see him remain at the Etihad until the summer of 2025.

It was not a surprise that Guardiola would extend his contract which was due to expire at the end of the season, considering his success with the Manchester club. Guardiola has emerged into one of the most successful managers in the current era in Premier League, winning 4 of the last 5 league titles. Since taking over in 2016, he also won 4 League Cups and an FA Cup. Under Guardiola, City also reached the final in 2020-21, losing to Chelsea.
