Portuguese and Manchester United player Bruno Fernandes has tied for a World Cup record following the win against Uruguay at Qatar 2022.

Aside from helping his side secure a spot in the round of 16 of the FIFA World Cup 2022, Bruno Fernandes has tied an existing record for Portugal with his two goals and assists in the competition so far.

Bruno Fernandes became the first Portuguese player since the 1966 world cup to record two goals and two assists in a single world cup competition. His two assists for Portugal in their opening fixture win against Ghana by three goals to 2, and his two stunning goals in the second fixture against Uruguay.
