The deputy captain of the Senegalese national team, Sadio Mane has been named the winner of the Socrates award.

Mane is the first person to win the award as this is the inaugural edition of the award. The Bayern Munich player has been exceptional for the people of Senegal by providing for the needy.
The former Liverpool player built a hospital, the school gives money to the needy, and provides free clothes for kids.
