There might not be light at the end of Mason Greenwood’s tunnel anytime soon but there is a breath of fresh air for the player.

Greenwood was released on bail after he was charged with attempted rape; engaging in controlling and coercive behavior and assault occasioning actual bodily harm.
The Manchester Magistrates’ Court previously heard he is charged with attempted rape relating to an alleged incident on October 22, 2021; engaging in controlling and coercive behavior between November 1, 201,8, and October 15, 2022. He was also accused of accessing and monitoring social media accounts, stopping and altering the way the complainant socialized, making threatening and derogatory comments towards a female; and assault occasioning actual bodily harm, with a period between December 1st, 2021, and December 31, 2021.
The case has been adjourned to Monday, September 21st, 2022 which will be heard at the Minshull Street Crown Court for a preliminary hearing.
