“Less Ronaldo, More Portugal”, Cristian Ronaldo Wanted Out In His National Team

Things are becoming tougher for Cristian Ronaldo since most Portugal National Team supporters want him out for the coming match Versus Spain.

Ronaldo has currently received many criticisms from Press due to his current underperformance and lack of goals. A famous news outlet In Portugal has come out with a critic article stating “Less Ronaldo, More Portugual’ urging the coach to shift the team leadership from Ronaldo to Bruno Fernandes for better results.

The outlet conducted a poll which resulted that 57% wanted Ronaldo out or should not be in Starting first eleven with their Match with Spain. The Press and some supporters believe that Portugal boss Fernando Santos has a good squad at his disposal with plenty of attacking talent pushing Ronaldo such as Diogo Jota, Joao Felix, Rafael Leao, Pedro Neto, and Goncalo Ramos to name a few.

It’s a must not lose game for Portugal – or Spain will top the group and make it through to the Nations League finals.

However, pressure from the media and fans means Ronaldo’s place in Portugal’s starting XI for the World Cup is not guaranteed.

It is thought it could be his last major tournament however he’s said he wants to play in Euro 2024.

Portugal are in a World Cup group with Ghana, Uruguay, and South Korea.
