The scandal has rocked the Premier League before the start of its 2022/2023 season as another star player has been arrested on rape allegations charges.

According to reports shared by The Telegraph, a footballer who has not yet been disclosed was arrested on the suspicion of rape.
The official statement released by the police confirmed the arrest and went on to state:
“On July 4, a report of rape of a woman in her 20s was made to the police. The alleged rape was reported to have occurred in June 2022, was arrested at an address in Barnet on suspicion of rape, and detained. Enquiries into the allegations are ongoing”.
