Cristiano Ronaldo and Abubakar are currently teammates at Al Nassr after the 37-year-old Portuguese goal machine joined the Saudi Arabian side last week.

Manchester United terminated Ronaldo’s contract late last year after the Portugal superstar gave an interview to Piers Morgan and spoke badly about the manager, club hierarchy, the owners, and his former teammates.

His departure has sent the Red Devils searching for a striker with only two strikers in the squad Marcus Rashford and Anthony Martial.

With the January transfer window now open, Ten Hag’s side is looking to bolster their attack and is evaluating a number of options.

Alongside Barcelona’s Memphis Depay, Al-Nassr’s Cameroonian forward Aboubakar has emerged as an option for United.

The Arabian side brought in Ronaldo on a €200 million-per-year contract and is expected to thrust him into the lineup right away.

Aboubakar could then become surplus to requirements and be loaned out in the winter transfer window.

United could sign the pacey 30-year-old forward to fill the void in their attack
