“Justice was served for Meg,” the rapper’s attorney notes
“The jury got it right,” Alex Spiro, attorney for Megan Thee Stallion, told CBS News. “I’m grateful that there was justice for Meg.” Megan Pete (rapper’s real name) testified that Lanez shot her in the feet five times after a party in Hollywood Hills on July 12, 2020.
According to the artist, the shootings occurred after she and Lanez had gotten into a heated argument, each attacking the other’s music career. “I feel like that really rubbed him the wrong way,” Thee Stallion said during her testimony. “He kept yelling and swearing.”
She added that she had to have surgery to remove bullet fragments from her feet.
