Kendrick Lamar has unveiled the highly anticipated video for his hit song “Not Like Us,” marking a triumphant moment for the West Coast. Filmed in Compton and following his electrifying “The Pop Out” concert, where he performed the track six times consecutively, Lamar’s video is a powerful statement amid his ongoing feud with Drake.

Co-directed by Dave Free and Lamar himself, the video pays homage to the West Coast while taking subtle jabs at Drake and his OVO crew. The video opens with Tommy the Clown ushering Lamar into a metallic room, where Lamar performs push-ups on cinder blocks—a direct response to Drake’s “Push Ups” track, which referenced a photo of Lamar doing the exercise.
In a striking visual, Lamar is seen smashing an owl piñata, symbolizing Drake’s OVO owl logo. A cheeky disclaimer reads, “No OVHoes were harmed during the making of this video.” The video then cuts to Lamar cruising the streets with the song’s producer, Mustard, riding shotgun.
Fans were quick to spot Lamar’s fiancée, Whitney Alford, and their two children dancing in a living room scene. Alford became a talking point in Drake’s diss track “Family Matters,” where he controversially claimed that Dave Free, Lamar’s co-director and close associate, fathered one of Lamar’s children with Alford.
