The 25-year-old French international has long been linked with a move to the Spanish giants and has now finalized the transfer after deciding not to extend his contract with PSG.

Mbappe joins Real Madrid shortly after the club secured their 15th Champions League title with a 2-0 victory over Borussia Dortmund at Wembley. He takes a significant pay cut with his new contract, earning €15 million net per season, compared to the €25 million he earned at PSG.

In a statement, Real Madrid said, “Real Madrid CF and Kylian Mbappe have reached an agreement whereby he will be a Real Madrid player for the next five seasons.”

Mbappe expressed his excitement on Instagram, writing, “A dream come true.”

During his time at PSG, Mbappe scored 256 goals in 308 matches, becoming the club’s record goalscorer. He helped PSG win six Ligue 1 titles, four Coupe de France trophies, and two Coupe de la Ligue titles. He also played a key role in PSG’s journey to the 2020 Champions League final.

Mbappe, a World Cup winner in 2018, continues to build his impressive career as he embarks on this new chapter with Real Madrid.
