Kendrick Lamar has once again outshined Drake. His diss track “Not Like Us” has surpassed Drake’s “God’s Plan” as the fastest rap song to reach 200 million streams on Spotify, achieving this milestone in just 19 days.
According to RapTV, this isn’t the first record Lamar has broken during their ongoing feud. Earlier this month, “Not Like Us,” produced by Mustard, became the fastest hip-hop song to reach 100 million Spotify streams, a record previously held by Drake.
Both artists have dominated the Billboard Hot 100 with their diss tracks. On the May 13 chart, “Not Like Us” debuted at No. 1 and is currently at No. 2, with Kendrick’s earlier diss “Euphoria” at No. 3, now at No. 11. Meanwhile, Drake’s “Family Matters” entered at No. 7 and now sits at No. 19.
Producer Mustard celebrated the success, declaring Los Angeles “back up” and expressing his pride in the achievement.
“Sometimes you really gotta pop out and show everyone who you are!” he said. “I’m thankful but not surprised; I never lost sight and stayed down. Summer started last week according to me! See ya sooner than you think!”
