Cristiano Ronaldo Jokes About a 10-Year Retirement Plan at Globe Soccer Awards

Football legend Cristiano Ronaldo, who is set to celebrate his 39th birthday next month, recently shared a light-hearted take on his retirement plans. While attending the Globe Soccer Awards in Dubai, the Al-Nassr forward, known for his remarkable career and on-field prowess, was questioned about his plans to retire from the sport.

In response, Ronaldo initially remarked that his retirement would be “soon,” but quickly added a humorous twist by suggesting it might be “10 years more.” He clarified with a smile, “No, I am joking, I don’t know, let’s see.”

The Portuguese superstar, who made a high-profile move to the Saudi Pro League side Al-Nassr in January last year, has continued to showcase his exceptional talent. He signed with Al-Nassr in a deal reportedly worth £175 million a year, following the termination of his contract with Manchester United.

Demonstrating his enduring skills, Ronaldo currently leads as the top scorer in the Saudi Pro League this season, having netted 20 goals. He maintains a three-goal lead over his closest competitor, Aleksandar Mitrovic.

Ronaldo’s playful remarks about his retirement have once again highlighted his charismatic personality, and fans continue to speculate about how many more years they will get to witness his magic on the field.
