Plot Of The OVA
For those who are not familiar with the concept, a succubus is a mythical creature, typically a female demon, that derives energy from sexual intercourse and activity. In the animation, Meru the Succubus, the titular character is a red-skinned avatar who has possessed the body of a girl in order to exact revenge on a priest. Meru’s full name is Merudania, and she is the spirit of a succubus demon that manifested around 1100 years ago in Northern Italy. She can possess any virgin female soul as long as their minds are full of sexual desires.
Meru needs to take in sufficient amounts of male release to maintain her possession over a body. The only way to permanently possess a body is to sleep with a man who has abstained completely from sexual activity. Meru’s ultimate goal is to get back at the priest who separated her from her powers, which included flight and levitation, hypnosis, shapeshifting, teleportation, and even ESP.
