Davido’s fourth album, Timeless, has surpassed 450 million streams on Spotify, marking a significant milestone in his career. Over the past decade, the Afrobeats superstar has been instrumental in bringing the genre to a global audience with his hit records and albums.
Timeless, released on March 31, 2024, has enjoyed immense success, breaking multiple records on its way to becoming Davido’s most streamed album on Spotify. The album set records for the most streams in a single day and the most streams in a week for a Nigerian album on the platform.
One of the lead singles from the album, “Unavailable” featuring Musa Keys, has also achieved a milestone by surpassing 100 million streams on Spotify, making it the first lead song by Davido to reach this mark.
The album features several hit singles, including “Feel,” “Kante” featuring Fave, and “No Competition” featuring Asake. These tracks contributed to Timeless earning Davido three nominations at the 66th Grammys. “Unavailable” featuring Musa Keys was nominated for Best African Song Performance, “Feel” for Best Global Song Performance, and Timeless for Best Global Album.
With Timeless surpassing 450 million streams, Davido’s total Spotify streams across all credits now exceed 2 billion. This achievement places him as the sixth most streamed Nigerian artist on the platform, behind Wizkid (6.9B), Burna Boy (6.2B), Rema (3.6B), Tems (2.5B), and Ckay (2.2B).
Davido concluded the Timeless era with the release of the music video for “Kante” featuring Fave, following a year of touring.
