In a recent appearance on the talk show “Your View,” Aigbe shared insights into her decision to embrace Islam, highlighting her deep affection for her husband as a key influence.

Her marriage to Adeoti, a businessman, has stirred some controversy, as he was already married, making Aigbe his second wife. Despite this, Aigbe expressed that at 45 years old, she is responsible for her actions and decisions, and her family had little to say regarding her change in religion. She described herself as a liberal person when it comes to religion and is excited to learn about Islam.
Aigbe announced her conversion on social media in April 2023, just before Ramadan, introducing her new name as Hajia Meenah. She expressed her excitement and fulfillment, especially participating in her first Ramadan lecture. Aigbe noted the importance of understanding and following the teachings of Allah as laid out in Islam.
Adjusting to her new religious practices, Aigbe mentioned some challenges, such as waking up early to eat before fasting. In June, she accompanied her husband on a pilgrimage to Mecca, further deepening her commitment to her new faith. Her journey of conversion to Islam out of love for her husband has been a significant and personal milestone in her life.
