Derek Bruce Hough (born May 17, 1985) is an American professional Latin and ballroom dancer, choreographer, actor, and singer. From 2007 to 2016, he competed on Dancing with the Stars, winning a record six times and earning 14 Emmy nominations, winning 4 awards for Outstanding Choreography.
He became a judge on the show in its 29th season. Hough starred in Footloose: The Musical, Make Your Move, and NBC’s Hairspray Live! From 2017 to 2020, he judged NBC’s World of Dance alongside other renowned performers.
