What happened between Chloe and Shayne on ‘Perfect Match’?
Shayne, an original resident of the villa, experiences a bumpy start. He initially matches with Ines, but their interest doesn’t evolve into a deeper connection. He also matches with Izzy, in a partner-swap with Nick, but when she matches with Bartise, he’s left with a reluctant match with Ines.
When Shayne is paired with Chloe, they instantly connect, sharing similar energies and even showering together (with swimsuits on, thankfully). They become the strongest match on the show, but when Francesca and Damian gain control of the board, they send Chloe on a date with her ex and The Circle season 2 castmate Mitchell.
It turns out Chloe and Mitchell previously dated for eight months after meeting on The Circle, and they left things unresolved. Chloe decides to explore her feelings for Mitchell, leaving Shayne to depart the house. Unfortunately, things with her new match do not go well, and Chloe regrets sending Shayne home.
When Mitchell and Chloe walk into the boardroom the next day, Shayne is on the board. Chloe matches herself with Shayne, and they have an emotional reunion. However, Shayne’s insecurities about himself and his relationship with Chloe cause him to spiral. After apologizing, they get back together.
Despite the chaos around them, Chloe and Shayne stay strong throughout the season. They make it through the “bring everyone back” party and the finale’s Survivor-esque panel, confirming their feelings for each other. Although they don’t win the final prize, they seem smitten with each other.
Are Chloe and Shayne still together after ‘Perfect Match’?
Following the airing of the finale of ‘Perfect Match,’ it has been confirmed that Chloe and Shayne are no longer dating. In an interview with TODAY, Chloe stated that they broke up after filming for several reasons, including the distance between them, as she lives in the UK while Shayne is based in Chicago.
Chloe revealed that there were some bumps in their relationship towards the end of the show, and while she was hopeful when she chose him as her perfect match, things changed when they got outside of the villa. She also hinted at their split on social media by posting a video where she pretended to cry, with a caption about praying for her perfect match but facing long-distance issues.
Both Chloe and Shayne talked about their breakup in Netflix’s ‘Where Are They Now’ special. Shayne took full responsibility for the relationship’s failure and mentioned that he had a lot of stress going on with his show, ‘Love Is Blind: After the Altar.’ Chloe explained that she realized after filming ended that their relationship might not work, especially given the distance between them. She likened their relationship to queuing up for a rollercoaster, getting on, throwing up, and realizing they didn’t like it.
Shayne mentioned that they were giving each other space at the moment, and Chloe remained quiet about her current relationship status. However, she and Shayne’s ex-fiancée Natalie posted some TikToks together, with Chloe commenting that they all loved Shayne but had one thing in common.

Natalie, his ex-fiancée from Love Is Blind, revealed on an Instagram story that they were approached to apply for Perfect Match while they were still dating in September 2021. She claimed that Shayne went through the casting process for the show while they were still together.
Even after their breakup, they got back in touch after filming their Love Is Blind: After the Altar special in early 2022. Natalie wrote that Shayne texted her numerous times during the filming of Perfect Match, saying that he wanted to leave because he still had feelings for her.
