The French national team have been hit with a major injury to Karim Benzema ahead of their opening game against Australia.

The head coach of France, Didier Deschamps will have to pick a replacement for Benzema before his first game on Monday, November 21st, 2022. Renowned Sports outlet in France, L’equppie has made a list of players where the possible replacement for Benzema could be called up to complete the 26-man list.
Deschamps could call up any of, Wissam Ben Yedder ( AS Monaco ) who is on vacation near Doha. Anthony Martial (Manchester United) and Moussa Diaby (Bayer Leverkusen) are also mentioned. But the technician could take everyone by surprise by calling on a different profile like Thomas Lemar (Atlético) or hand a debut to Martin Terrier (Rennes).
The injury to Benzema is a big blow for France but their supporters will hope the team can defend their title. France have been grouped alongside Denmark, Australia and Tunisia.
